Sustainability

Last updated : October 2023

Wishing to pave the way for other Quebec and Canadian organizations, the Nimbax team has decided to integrate sustainable development into its business strategy. To achieve this, we have made various commitments within the company to reduce our environmental impact.

Initiative 1

The first initiative was to equip our entire team with the digital tools necessary to allow them to carry out all of their tasks without using paper. This initiative was successfully implemented in 2020 — the pandemic context having facilitated this transition. Since then, no form of paper has been used by the company for its day-to-day activities.

Initiative 2

The second initiative was to decentralize our employees and thus allow each of them to have access to the tools to do their work 100% remotely. This inspiration came from the Zapier team in the United States, who, by relocating their headquarters, were able to acquire the best talent from around the world without being constrained by geographic restrictions. The fact that our team no longer has to commute represents an important benefit for our company, but also has a significant positive impact on reducing our environmental footprint.

Initiative 3

The third initiative was to implement a reimbursement method for travel by alternative means, as well as to offer our employees various benefits to prioritize carpooling when travel is required by one of our clients. This allows us to encourage sustainable practices that have a real impact on our environment.

Initiative 4

The fourth initiative was to make available a recovery system for our obsolete computer equipment, as well as to offer still-functional equipment — no longer suited to our professional reality — to students who need to acquire equipment but sometimes lack the means. This equipment recycling cycle allows us to minimize waste and provide better opportunities for the next generation.

These initiatives are just the first steps toward a much broader integration of eco-responsible practices within our team. Nimbax daily encourages the adoption of sustainable practices within its team by offering reusable accessories and rewarding new initiatives from our teams.
